The Seattle Mariners will head down to the Bay to start an interleague series with the San Francisco Giants this Monday night from Oracle Park.

Mariners Betting Preview

Seattle enters at 40-42 after taking two of three from Tampa. The Mariners enjoyed a good weekend by defeating the AL-leading Rays, and they’ll look to carry that momentum into San Fran this week. The Seattle offense is scoring 4.29 runs per Game, while batting .227, with a .308 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 3.55 ERA, with a 1.19 WHIP. Teoscar Hernandez plated a pair of runs in the Game two victory, and he leads Seattle in home runs (15) and RBI (84). Ty France has recorded a hit in seven of the last ten Games, and he leads the Mariners in hits (85), with splits of .276/7/36. Eugenio Suarez homered in the series finale, and he’s now tied with Hernandez for the team-lead in RBI (48).

Bryan Woo (1-1, 4.37 ERA, 32 Ks) will start for Seattle. The rookie pitcher followed up his first victory of his career with a good outing against the Nats at home, striking out seven in five innings pitched, while holding them to one run. Woo has wooed through his previous four starts and cleaned up a messy MLB debut, clearing seven strikeouts three times, while allowing no more than two runs.

Giants Betting Preview

San Francisco comes in at 46-38 after losing two of three to New York. The Giants didn’t have a good east coast road trip, and dropping four of their last six, they’ll look to regroup here at home. The San Francisco offense is scoring 4.81 runs per Game, while batting .250, with a .326 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 3.89 ERA, with a 1.29 WHIP. J.D Davis plated a run against his former team in Game three, and he leads the giants in RBI (45), with ten homers. Thiaro Estrada is batting .272, and he leads the team in hits (79), after recording one with 31 RBI.

Logan Webb (7-7, 3.43 ERA, 106 Ks) will get the call for San Francisco. The fifth-year pitcher had his three-start win streak snapped in Toronto last week, giving up five runs in five innings. Overall, Webb has put a bad beginning to the season behind him, and avenged an 0-4 start by pitching quality starts in eleven of his last thirteen outings. Webb has pitched noticeably better in the Bay, and he’ll look to kick July off the right way here Monday.

Seattle vs San Francisco Trends

Seattle is 38-43 against the spread this season, with a 32-46-3 O/U record. San Francisco is 43-37 ATS this year, with a 38-39-3 over/under record.

Corey’s Free Pick

The Giants will return to the Bay looking to clean up a messy weekend, and I like their chances with Logan Webb set to go. Webb turned things around last month, and he now looks like the ace he’s been intended to be. Webb should also be able to contain a top-heavy Seattle lineup at the pitcher-friendly Oracle Park, and I like the Giants leaving Game one as victors. Back San Francisco for this interleague matchup Monday.
