The Tampa Bay Rays will host the Baltimore Orioles for Game three of their divisional series this Saturday from Tropicana Field on the MLB Network. Tampa got a great effort from Tyler Glasnow, and went on to win, 3-0.

Orioles Betting Preview

Baltimore comes in at 59-38 after falling to Tampa Bay. The Orioles failed to get anything going Friday, and they’ll look to regroup here in Game three. The Baltimore offense is scoring 4.95 runs per Game, while batting .252, with a .329 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 4.09 ERA, with a 1.29 WHIP. Adley Rutschmann has produced a run in three of the last five Games, and he leads Baltimore in hits (96), with splits of .273/13/42. Anthony Santander has scored a run in five of the last previous Games, and he leads Baltimore in HR (17) and RBI (54). Ryan Mountcastle has recorded a hit in four of his last six appearances, and he’s totaled eleven homers and 41 RBI for the season.

Grayson Rodriguez (2-2, 7.33 ERA, 8 Ks) will get the ball for Baltimore. The rookie pitcher made his return from a two-month absence against Los Angeles last time out, and he gave up four runs in five innings en route to an Orioles loss. Facing the Dodgers after an extended break isn’t ideal, and things won’t get much easier here in Tampa. Rodriguez pitching 5.2 innings, while allowing just a pair of runs to the Rays in his lone start against them back in early May.

Rays Betting Preview

Tampa Bay comes in at 61-40 after defeating Baltimore. The Rays snapped a five-Game skid with the shutout victory, and they’ll look to maintain their division lead here Saturday. The Tampa offense is scoring 5.13 runs per Game, while batting .264, with a .336 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 3.70 ERA, with a 1.22 WHIP. Yandy Diaz plated a pair of runs in the Game two loss, and he leads Tampa in batting (.319) and hits (101), with 45 RBI. Randy Arozarena is hitless over his last three Games, but he’s still first on the team in RBI (61), with seventeen home runs. Isaac Paredes doubled and homered in the Game two victory, and he’s posting splits of .261/18/58.

Shane McClanahan (11-1, 2.56 ERA, 107 Ks) will take the mound for Tampa. The ace of staff returned from the break in good form in Texas, striking out six in six innings, while holding the Rangers to two runs. McClanahan has been very sharp this season, as a loss at Wrigley to the Cubs remains his only blemish. Six of McClanahan’s last nine outings have resulted in quality starts, and he tossed six shutout innings in his lone bout with Baltimore back in May.

Baltimore vs Tampa Trends

Baltimore is 57-44 against the spread this season, with a 50-42-3 O/U record. Tampa Bay is 58-43 ATS this year, with a 49-40-7 over/under record.

Corey’s Free Pick

Baltimore came through for us in Game one, but Tampa finally got back into the win column Friday, and they have an opportunity to build on the that with Shane McClanahan set to go here. The pitching matchup sways heavily in the Rays favor, and their bats should be able to capitalize off of rookie Grayson Rodriguez. Tampa needs to find their groove before Baltimore gets even closer, and they can prevent that with a win at home in Game three. Back the Rays for this AL East battle.
