It was a night to forget for LA on Wednesday as they lost 110-96 at home to the Miami Heat. It was their 8th loss in 10 Games, they shot a abysmal 4-for-30 from three-point land which is just 13%. LeBron James didn’t have the best of Games going just 6-for-18 from the field and scoring just 12 points. The illness he had earlier in the week has left a toll on him, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Lakers sat him out for this one. The atmosphere around this team just isn’t good right now, you can already hear rumblings how head coach Darvin Ham’s job is in danger. A loss to the Grizzlies could seal his faith. Memphis has a great opportunity to turn things around against a wounded Lakers side here, getting them at +170 odds to beat a team that’s just 2-8 SU in the last 10 Games is too big too pass up.

Ja Morant to Score 30+ Points (+160)

In the 8 Games he’s played this season since returning from suspension, Morant is averaging 25.6 points per Game on a decent 47.7% efficiency from the field. He has surpassed that average in both Games played in December so far and I reckon he will have to do so tonight as well in order for the Grizzlies to stand a chance here. Even when they’re not doing good, playing the Lakers is always extra motivational for opposing players. Morant has had some pretty big Games vs LeBron and co. lately, he’s putting up 28.1 points per Game in the last 10 meetings and during that stretch he’s had 4 Games of at least 39 points. Opponents are connecting on 40.9% of their three point attempts against LA in their last 3 Games, that’s the 8th worst mark in the entire NBA. I fully expect Morant to come out swinging here as he leads the Grizzlies to another important victory.
